2021 was a year of returning artists, breakthrough new artists and long runs at No.1 ! The Chart Show presents the 50 biggest songs of the year on the 2021 Year End Countdown.

The Weeknd followed up his #1 song of 2020, ‘Blinding Lights’ with another year at the top – ‘Save Your Tears,’ his summer collaboration with Ariana Grande was the No.1 song of 2021! 

Olivia Rodrigo exploded out of the gate in January with ‘Drivers License’ which ended the year at No. 2. Billie Eilish’s sophomore album ‘Happier Than Ever’ produced 3 tracks on the year end list with the title-track leading at No. 10. 2020 breakout Due Lipa continued a strong run in 2021 with ‘We’re Good,’ ‘Love Again,’ and her collaboration with Elton John ‘Cold Heart’ all ending up on the Year End Countdown. Lil was X proved he was no one hit wonder with 2 tracks on the Year End list – ‘That’s What I Want’ and ‘Industry Baby’. Jackson Wang once again finished up inside the Top 10 with his 2021 hit ‘LMLY.’

EDM produced some massive hits with retro remakes getting to the top of the charts – ATB, Topic & A7S’ ‘Your Love (9 PM),’ Majestic’s Boney M classic ‘Rasputin,’ Anabel Englund’s Blondie-esque ‘Midnight Rapture’ and HVME’s ‘Goosebumps.’

Some big names made huge comebacks in 2021 and ended up on the Year End chart – Ed Sheeran’s double with ‘Shivers’ and ‘Bad Habits,’ Lorde’s ‘Solar Power,’ Adele’s ‘Easy On Me’ and Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Moth To A Flame’ with The Weeknd.

The Year End chart also featured breakthrough acts in 2021 – Farruko with ‘Pepas’, Nathan Evans with ‘Wellerman,’ BBNO$ with ‘Edamame’ and rock breakouts and Eurovision winner Maneskin with ‘Beggin’.
