Sisi Alexander – Heat Of The Moment

Sisi’s entrance into a life of music transpired when she started to play the piano at the age of 6. Her love of music then broadened as she participated in various singing competitions whilst simultaneously studying classical piano for 8 years. It felt fated that she would eventually fuse the two together, and began to accompany herself. She then discovered her passion for writing songs.

She has said that her lyrics are inspired by people and human connection, stating

I like to observe myself and others, and I’ll often find inspiration in a conversation I just had with someone, or in a feeling that I got after going through a certain experience. I think I first started writing from a place of loneliness, as I was always shy and never had too many friends growing up. Ever since then, I’ve been on this self-discovery journey, trying to gain the confidence I need in order to live freely and actually enjoy life.

Sisi is an academic who studied Jazz/Pop Music Composition at the National University of Music Bucharest. With a songwriting degree under her belt, she is now accomplishing a Music Practice master’s degree at the British Institute of Modern Music, whose alumni include James Bay, George Ezra, and Ella Mai.

2022 was a significant year regarding Sisi’s growth as she undertook her first-ever live show at Half Moon Putney, where some of the most celebrated names in popular music have performed, including The Rolling Stones and The Who. Her performance at The Great Escape Festival Warm Up Show the same year turned heads and looks to be continuing this momentum in 2023.

Immeasurable amounts of artists make up Sisi’s musical influences, with the likes of Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Sade, Prince & Norah Jones being amongst those she has stated to have inspired her creatively. Her music is remarkably personal and the process of writing has dawned the discovery of who she really is as a person. She has said ‘’I may not have always found the right words to express myself, but I have done that all the time through my music’’. Music has been and continues to be an imperative outlet for expression for Sisi. She strives to inspire listeners, by sharing her own personal and relatable experiences.

“Heat of The Moment”  comes from her upcoming debut album “Heat Of The Moment”, which was recorded at Metropolis Studios and Abbey Road Studios. With the main themes of love and self-discovery, Sisi strives to leave her mark on the music industry with this release.
