Mabel has dropped a brand-new single and visual for ‘Female Intuition’.
At peace with being guided by her own instincts and not what other people want from her, Mabel’s new single ‘Female Intuition’ is a fierce statement by an artist who’s confident, unapologetic, and entirely in tune with her own intuition. With its irresistible production and Mabel’s signature sultry vocals, ‘Female Intuition’ continues this exciting new era for one of the UK’s brightest popstars.
The accompanying visual, self-directed by Mabel alongside Simone Beyene, nods to the iconic opening sequence of James Bond’s ‘Goldfinger’ with the song’s powerful lyrics and performances by Neneh Cherry projected onto Mabel’s body. The voices at the end of the visual include her mother Neneh Cherry, cousin Miquita Oliver, as well as other family members and friends. All women who have helped shape her life.
Female Intuition is about how I’ve learned to trust my instincts. In every aspect of my life my female intuition is my compass and I’m so grateful for that. This track is also a celebration of all the amazing women in my life that have taught me to be strong. I dedicate this one to all the mothers, the aunties and sisters that guide and protect.
Following a return to her R&B roots on ‘Vitamins’ and the empowering anthem ‘Look At My Body Pt.II’ featuring Shygirl earlier this year, 2024 marks a fresh and exhilarating reintroduction to the BRIT award-winning artist you thought you knew. Earlier this year Mabel joined forces with rising Ghanaian star Black Sherif for the positive anthem ‘Zero’ and over the past few weeks, Mabel has graced the stage at numerous festivals including BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Primavera Sound, Open’er festival and more. Last month Mabel also turned heads at Paris Fashion Week, attending the likes of Wales Bonner and Acne Studios.
Listen to this song and more new music premieres on “The New Music Show”, playing daily at 5.30pm PT/8.30pm ET on Channel R – Today’s Hits & Your All-Time Favorites.
