Channel R Artist Of The Month is the ultimate showcase of our listeners favorite artist all month long. With multiple daily plays of songs from the artists discography, AOTM puts a huge radio spotlight on the featured artist for an entire month.

The AOTM is is based on listener votes. The 6 artists with the most votes by the third week of the month goes into head-to-head voting for the remainder of the month. The artist with the most votes from the Final 6 becomes the next Channel R Artist of The Month! See below for full details on how YOU can help shape the next AOTM!

Post A Shoutout

Post a shoutout when you hear your artist playing.

There are 3 ways to vote for next month’s Channel R Artist Of The Month. Open up and learn more about each method below:

Scroll down this page to locate the voting form. Voting is restricted to once every 24 hours. 

Submit a request by opening the Channel R Radio App and tapping on “Request.” Requests can be made every hour up to a maximum of 6 timed per day. Each request counts as 1 vote.

When you hear a song from your favorite artist playing on Channel R Radio, post a shoutout within 30 minutes of it playing on-air on this page (scroll below). Each shoutout equals 1 vote.

Important: Use the format #AOTM Artist Name in your shoutout e.g. #AOTM Harry Styles.

When you hear a song from your favorite artist playing on Channel R Radio, post a shoutout within 30 minutes of it playing on-air on the Channel R Radio App Listener Comments within the Full Screen Radio Player (see image below). Each shoutout equals 1 vote.

Important: Use the format #AOTM Artist Name in your shoutout e.g. #AOTM Harry Styles.

  1. Votes are accumulated for AOTM in 2 rounds. 
  2.  Each category (vote, request, shoutout, follow) have specific rules that govern the votes that are accumulated. 
  3. Because we feature the music of the AOTM extensively throughout the month, only artists that have released a full album (at least 10 songs in English) are eligible for AOTM.
  4. A winning AOTM is not eligible again for 12 months.
