Sasha Sky – Escape

Northern singer-songwriter Sasha Sky began releasing music in 2021 amidst the UK lockdown. Having loved music, singing, and writing both songs and poems since she was 8 years old, it’s been a lifelong passion for Sasha – though for the longest time she resisted this passion out of fear and extreme anxiety.
A pivotal step towards overcoming this anxiety was studying Performing Arts and Music at New
College Durham, which was, without a doubt, the first milestone towards Sasha finally pursuing music outside of education.

Sasha Sky is heavily influenced by and inspired by R&B music and sounds, but loves to write across a variety of genres, as shown throughout her discography. ‘Escape’ is Sasha Sky’s 6th single to be released. This song has been 2 years in the making
and is said to express deep-rooted pain and frustration from being in a relationship that causes constant hurt. From experiencing never-ending white lies, frequent gaslighting, and repetitive betrayal. This track verbalises the desire to forget everything and escape reality by any means necessary.
