Sammy Angelo is a 24-year-old up-and-coming artist from St Albans. Infatuated with music from a youthful age, he began to explore various genres and artists. Sammy debuted his music career with his single “Love Me No More” featuring JLS star Oritsé Williams, reaching its first play on Kiss Xtra. Sammy continued collaborating and has worked with artists such as Ayo Beatz, S1mba, Geko, and A7s.

With his new track ‘Sleep’, he has collaborated with A7s and Ayo Beatz to create a dance,afrohouse record that brings a party, yet vulnerable feel to get people resonating with his words, whilst getting lost in the music. The dark, moody piano chords provide the foundation to allow the textures of both the vocals and the synth to complement each other. Whilst being taken on this journey of movement with the percussion and drums.

’Sleep’ is a lyrically driven song, despite the music being in the forefront, if you process the words you will see how it is an underlying romantic tragedy. Especially in the second
verse, there is this almost stalemate in wether to trust and love and that concept of if love is unrequited or genuine.
