Multi-Platinum selling pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer have officially announced their highly anticipated fifth studio album titled 5SOS5 to be released September 23, 2022.

Additionally, the group have released their newest single ‘Me, Myself & I’ which follows the previously released tour title track ‘Take My Hand’ and the anthemic debut single ‘Complete Mess’.

The 19-track album is produced and co-written by Jason Evigan (Maroon 5, Dua Lipa), Jon Bellion (Justin Bieber, Halsey), Pete Nappi (GAYLE, Madison Beer), and Mick Coogan (Charlotte Lawrence, Carlie Hanson), and showcases the band’s multi-faceted artistry and growth over their 10-year career.

’Me, Myself, and I’ is a really exciting song for us to have on the record that we’ve spent the last two years making. We’re all big fans of Jon Bellion and when he sent us the idea, we instantly connected with it. So much of what we had been writing lyrically was extremely introspective and this song fit like a puzzle piece with the rest of the album. We then ended up finishing it with Jon, Jason, Pete and Mick. ’Me Myself and I’ explores the emotional cycle of feeling like you can do everything on your own and that you don’t need anyone else, but eventually realizing that sometimes you push away the best things in your life. We love this song and hope other people connect with it as much as we do. – 5 Seconds of Summer vocalist and guitarist Luke Hemmings

The band will bring their 2022 Take My Hand World Tour to North America this summer, kicking off in Vancouver, BC, ahead of stops in Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville, and more before wrapping in St. Louis, MO.

Listen to this song and more new music premieres on “The New Music Show”, playing daily at 5.30pm PT/8.30pm ET on Channel R – Today’s Hits & Your All-Time Favorites.
