After 2022 of music crafting and development, Irish artist Cormac Todd returns with his energetic sophomore single ‘Confessions’ –  released February 17, 2023′. This indie-inspired electronic pop track features acoustic pop influences mixed with modern references to Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran & U2.

Hailing from Dundalk, Cormac’s expressive songwriting is inspired by Dermot Kennedy, Joni Mitchell, and Taylor Swift as well as previous collaborators such as Grammy Winner Pete Smith (The Police) & Eurovision contestant Lesley Roy. With songwriting shoutouts from Beyonce collaborator Gloria Kabba & the Irish Music Institute; Cormac has seen success with his debut single ‘Lifeboat’ being featured on national & international radio including BBC Sounds, BBC Radio Ulster, Iradio & FM104.

2023 will be a big year for Cormac with an upcoming EP release in May 2023 and a number of live dates across the UK and Ireland on the horizon. The new single ‘Confessions’ focuses on themes of healing, lost friendship, and amicable goodbyes.

This project came from a need for amicable closure to old relationships and also self-reflection around personal growth, accountability, and healing. I co-wrote this track last year when I was feeling disconnected from home but also hopeful for the future, it’s bittersweet’.

Cormac actively contributes to the development of upcoming female, POC & LGBTQ+ artists, writes for music blogs chord blossom/we plug good music & produces for a weekly show on Colorful Radio London. He has recently graduated from BIMM University with a master’s degree in songwriting, vocal technique & performance.
